Bronze, when used as a filler, is added at 40 to 60% weight percent.

Bronze-filled PTFE has better wear properties, excellent compressive

strength and good thermal conductivity, but poor electrical and

chemical resistance.

It is often used in hydraulic systems, especially as linear bearings,

such as slides, booms, guides.

The connection is easy to handle. Bronze filler is useful in applications

that are subject to high mechanical stress or high speed frictional contacts

where the bronze filler provides strength and conductivity to remove excess

unwanted heat.
